About Leal
Leal is a wallet-based loyalty platform that puts digital stamp cards and rewards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for cafés, salons, gyms, bakeries and independent shops, with no app for customers to download.
What Leal does
Everything a local business needs to turn a first visit into a habit, without asking customers to install anything.
Digital stamp cards
Design a branded stamp card and customers add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet by scanning a QR code. The card updates itself on every visit, so there is nothing to lose, wash or leave at home.
Rewards and offers
Set the reward customers are working towards, such as a free coffee after nine, and add offers for quiet days or new launches. Customers watch their progress build on the card, which is what brings them back to finish it.
Wallet notifications and automation
Stamps, rewards and offers can trigger a native notification on the customer's lock screen, with no email list or SMS credits needed. On Pro, automation and triggers win back lapsed customers and nudge people who are close to a reward.
A counter app for your team
Staff scan a customer's card with the Leal app on iPhone or Android, then add a stamp or redeem a reward in one tap. Every team member gets their own login, so nothing depends on one shared device.
Analytics that look ahead
See sign-ups, visits, stamps and redemptions over time, with forecasts and anomaly alerts once there is enough history. Pro adds customer segmentation and data export.
Integrations, API and SDKs
Connect Square, Shopify POS, Epos Now, Lightspeed, Loyverse, Flipdish and more through Zapier so purchases stamp cards automatically. Developers get a public REST API, webhooks and nine official SDKs.
Agency mode
Agencies and resellers run loyalty programmes for several clients from one dashboard, under their own brand and domains. The Agency plan includes five Pro client accounts.
What makes Leal different
There are plenty of loyalty tools. These are the specific ways Leal is built differently, and who it is being compared with.
No app for your customers to download
Leal cards live in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, which are already on your customers' phones. SQUID, a popular choice in Ireland, asks customers to download its app and create an account before they can collect a single stamp.
Leal vs SQUIDA free plan, not a free trial
Leal's Free plan has no expiry date, unlimited customers and no card details at sign-up. Loopy Loyalty offers a 15-day trial, Boomerang 14 days and Loyalzoo 7 days, and then you pay.
Loopy Loyalty pricing comparedOne flat price that doesn't grow with your success
Pro is $99 a month for unlimited locations, card designs and customers. Square Loyalty charges $45 a month per location, Perkville starts at $159 per location, and SQUID's price rises as more customers use your programme.
Leal vs Square LoyaltyNo contracts, setup fees or hardware
Every plan is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. There is nothing to buy up front, whereas SQUID charges for a physical NFC tag that has to arrive before your programme can go live.
SQUID pricing comparedOpen to the rest of your tools
Pro includes the REST API, webhooks, Zapier and nine official SDKs for $99 a month. Boomerang puts its API on a $199 a month plan, and Loyalzoo keeps custom API integrations for its sales-quoted Multi plan.

The team behind Leal
Rikki Pitt, founder
Rikki is a software developer who has been building SaaS products for more than ten years, including the email digest service Paced Email. He has worked remotely for most of his career, which has made him a regular at a lot of cafés.
Where Leal came from
The best cafés and small shops win because they remember you and give you a reason to return, yet the tools for that were paper cards that disappear or apps nobody wants. Leal, started in 2025, is the middle ground: a wallet card that takes seconds to add.
A small, founder-led company
Leal is independent and run from Dublin. The person who writes the code is the person who reads your email and your feature requests.
"I want to build Leal with the businesses it's made for. If you run one, your feedback decides what we build next."

Leal is self-serve, so you can launch today. When you need a hand, you talk to a person.
